Silat Is on the UNESCO List and Most Malaysians Only See the Wedding Version

UNESCO inscribed silat on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2019. For most Malaysians, though, silat appears exactly twice - at a wedding entrance and in a school PJ class. The gap between those two things is the whole story.
