Trevor Noah is finally coming to Malaysia, and the first night sold out within minutes. The South African comedian plays his first-ever KL show on 09/11/2026, and a second night followed on 10/11/2026 after demand showed up.
This is a stand-up show, not a concert, so the buying rules and the day-of planning are a little different. Here is what has been confirmed so far, and what you should check yourself before you spend.
What Is Confirmed
- First show: Monday, 09/11/2026, 8pm, per Malay Mail.
- Second show: Tuesday, 10/11/2026, 8pm, added after the first night sold out within minutes, according to SAYS.
- Venue: Idea Live Arena. Outlets spell it slightly differently, so check the name on your ticket.
- Promoters: LOL Asia and BOHM.
- Ticketing: Fantopia, exclusively.
It is also Noah's Malaysian debut. LOL Asia's CEO described bringing him here as the result of a 14-year effort, per Malay Mail.
Ticket Prices by Category
The Rakyat Post lists these prices for the first show, excluding fees.
| Category | Price (RM) |
|---|---|
| VIP | 528 |
| Cat 1 | 428 |
| Cat 2 | 328 |
| Cat 3 | 328 |
| Cat 4 | 228 |
| Cat 5 | 208 |
Fantopia's own guide lists the same tiers. It describes six zones running from VIP at the front to Cat 5 in the rear sections, and flags Cat 2 and 3 as the best overall value. That is Fantopia's view, so weigh it accordingly.
One gap to note. The reports we found list prices for the 09/11 show. They do not state tiers for the added 10/11 night, so confirm those on the Fantopia page before you assume they match.
How the Sales Worked
The first show had a presale on 09/09/2026 at 10am and general sales on 11/09/2026 at 10am. The second show went on sale on 15/09/2026 at 1pm. All of it runs through Fantopia, and tickets are e-tickets.
Those dates are already behind us. By now, the practical question is not "when does it open" but "what is still available, and where".
What Is Not Stated Yet
Several details people ask about were not stated in the coverage we reviewed:
- Age limit. Not stated.
- Name or ID rules on tickets. Not stated.
- Support acts and set length. Not stated.
- Prices for the 10/11 night. Not stated.
Do not assume any of these. Read the terms on the Fantopia event page before you pay, and check them again closer to the date, since organisers sometimes update conditions as a show approaches.
There is also a small venue wrinkle. Malay Mail places the show at "Ideas LIVE Arena, Kuala Lumpur", while other outlets give a slightly different spelling, and one listing places the arena in Petaling Jaya. The Fantopia page is the one to trust for the exact address and entry gates.
How to Buy Without Getting Burned
Organisers asked fans to buy only through the official ticketing site and avoid scalpers or third-party platforms. That is the single most useful line in the coverage.
A few habits help, and our guide on how to buy concert tickets in Malaysia without getting burned covers them in more depth:
- Check availability on Fantopia first, not on social media.
- Treat any resale listing that asks for transfer outside the official platform as a red flag.
- Compare the name, date and zone on the listing with the official tiers above.
- Keep screenshots of the order and the e-ticket confirmation.
Planning the Night
Fantopia recommends arriving one to one and a half hours before showtime. Since the show starts at 8pm, that means being at the arena between 6.30pm and 7pm.
Because tickets are e-tickets, charge your phone before you leave and save the confirmation where you can open it offline. Arena crowds can strain mobile data right when everyone is trying to get through the gate at the same time.
If you want to know what the live comedy scene looks like beyond big arena nights, we explain how stand-up comedy in Malaysia actually works.
